A Sudden Realization

that I haven’t written in over two years. Last week it hit me, and tried (and succeeded!) in restoring my WordPress account. Apparently, I had my old cell phone linked and couldn’t access it. Anyway, it’s all worked out now.

I’m not here to apologize for not writing, as if anyone really reads this. People close to me will understand why and those who aren’t well, it’s fine if you don’t.

Let’s do a little recap, shall we? (might need a tissue or two) Continue reading “A Sudden Realization”

Year One

This is a running joke I have going where I pretend I’m going to write each and every day like some fellow bloggers out there, but I end up having zero motivation until I hear a good song. “Dirty Paws” by Of Monsters & Men. For some reason, that particular tune lifts my spirit and I end up opening a word editing program and I type away until I realize I have been writing well over an hour… Continue reading “Year One”

You get what you give

It’s the little things in a relationship that make it feel special.

Aaron is out mowing the yard and though while I’m inside where it’s cool and quiet, I packed up my small cooler with a damp washcloth tucked inside a ziploc bag – to wash off his face after he’s done, an ice pack and an unopened bottle of water. It is sitting outside on the patio table. I do this each time he mows the lawn and I know he appreciates it greatly. Continue reading “You get what you give”

Home – is anywhere when I’m with you

A very productive day, but not the way that I planned. A whole lot of kitchen stuff was unpacked and cabinets cleared out as well as some bedroom things. It’s nice to find a home for my stuff again. It’s been packed up well over a year now. Continue reading “Home – is anywhere when I’m with you”

May the 4th be with you…

Is what people keep saying today, but I’m not a Star Wars fan – however it was such a great day.

One Year Older!

It is going on midnight as I type this sentence out. Two minutes remain of my 31st birthday, and I am happy to report that it was a fun-filled day. Woke up rather late but that’s allowed, and it is a Saturday too. Clint and I drove to Red Robin for lunch – ate our weight in food, at least I did. He was smart about it and discovered his stopping point. I’m still not hungry and that’s the only thing I ate today. Besides cake, of course. Then we hopped back into the car and drove downtown Indianapolis where we went to Circle Centre Mall and straight to Godiva – for a shake. OH SO GOOD. Wandered around the mall and two floors, visited several Continue reading “One Year Older!”

C25K – W1D2 – Done!

And boy do my legs hurt.. I’m walking around the apartment as if I were a duck, taking baby steps as taking full strides are just too painful.

I never thought, at at 15 years old that my 30 year old body would be so out of shape that jogging/walking for 20 minutes would nearly put me under, but it has. My sister and I were sprinting the other kids in our neighborhood as if it were nothing. We’d rather run around outside after school instead of inside watching TV. I’ve become the opposite. Yesterday, Alexis wanted to go bike riding with us. We’d have to dig them out of the Continue reading “C25K – W1D2 – Done!”

A little one

OMG I typed a long entry and it’s all gone. Poof.

I need to be careful. This new yes… NEW LAPTOP I bought today… is rather touchy.

I’m super tired. Will write much more now that I have a more reliable lappy top. 🙂

G’night all. 🙂

Sleepy, so sleepy

We’re back from our exciting & exhaustive trip to Wisconsin. It was so much fun playing pinball and some classic Atari games. Checking out computers that were around even before I was born – I thought would take up an entire room were only about the size of a full-sized desktop, tower included. Back then, who would ever thought that computers would be teeny tiny and be able to be portable and put in your pocket? It’s amazing how far we’ve come. I discovered I’m Continue reading “Sleepy, so sleepy”
